14 palestinians killed by israeli action this month
0 israelis killed by palestinian action this month
Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas (Fatah) on March 17th swears in the first Palestinian national unity government headed by PM Ismail Haniyeh (Change and Reform), in keeping with agreements reached by Fatah and Hamas in Mecca on February 8th aimed at halting intra-Palestinian violence. Nonetheless clashes between the two groups continue during the month, but at a low level.
IOF killings are still mainly concentrated in the West Bank, despite continued IOF incursions into followed by Palestinian rockets and mortars sent into Israel. Palestinian attacks are primarily aimed at the IOF.
50 fascist settlers from Kiryat Arba, under IDF protection, occupy a 4-story Palestinian residential building in Hebron, claiming to have legally purchased it; the owner denies this; officers from the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) ask the settlers to see the purchase documents, but they refuse.
On March 12th BBC correspondent Alan Johnston is kidnapped in Gaza by unidentied gunmen believed to belong to the Daghmash Gaza clan. This only symbolises the spread of anarchy in Gaza caused by the US/EU/Israeli blockade.
