61 palestinians killed by israeli action this month
2 israelis killed by palestinian action this month
Nazi siege of the Warzaw ghetto, version 2. UN officials report that Israel has now reduced daily fuel imports to Gaza by 20% and that, as a result, some 400,000 Gazans have lost (or have only limited access to) safe drinking water because of lack of fuel to run pumps, water treatment facilities, and generators; vaccinations and medicines have spoiled at some hospitals because of inconsistent power to run refrigerators. UN also reports that almost all gas stations in Gaza are closed because they've run out of gas.
IOF intensifies air strikes on Gaza targetting especially Islamic Jihad, but also killing many civilians. A total of 61 Palestinians are killed by the IOF during the month. Palestinians retaliate with rockets and direct attacks on IOF positions.
On the 23rd Israel rejects Hamas’s latest call via Egypt for a cease-fire; vows to continue “counterterrorist operations” to deter rocket fire. Deputy Israeli PM Haim Ramon says Israel’s strategic goal is to overthrow Hamas in Gaza using military and economic pressure. Islamic Jihad declares that it in any case will not adhere to any truce.
